| 10/25/2025 | Our Annual Fall Dinner is going to be amazing! We’ll have a live musician, a silent auction, and a gift bag for every attendee. I’m so excited for this year’s dinner, especially with all the generous donations that have already been coming in. Here’s our wish list: We’re looking for $100 dinner donations from businesses and individuals. We’ve received over 30 gift bags to fill, so feel free to share business swag for 30 people, such as items with your logo or a coupon. Others have donated items for our silent auction. You can also sponsor a single parent’s dinner for $10. The cost for all other guests is $25.00. | 10/26/2025 | Join the Idaho Black Community Alliance (IBCA) as we proudly support our partner, St. Paul Baptist Church, and celebrate the installation service of Pastor Rev. Dr. Jonathan McReynolds as Senior Pastor in a joyful community gathering. St. Paul Baptist Church holds a significant place in Idaho’s history as the first Black church in the state, founded in 1908 by Rev. William Riley Hardy. Now 117 years strong, the church continues to serve and uplift the community. Its original building, constructed in 1921, has been preserved and relocated to Julia Davis Park, where it now houses the Idaho Black History Museum. | Coming Soon... | Thursday, February 6th, from 5-8 PM, featuring Dr. Sydney Freeman, professor of Adult Organizational Learning and Leadership and the Director of the Black History Research Lab at the University of Idaho. During this event, Dr. Freeman will present on the concept of "glocal"—the interconnectedness of local and global histories—with a focus on the rich Black history of Idaho and its impact on national and global narratives. The program will include a moderated discussion with Former Senator Cherie Buckner-Webb, followed by an interactive Q&A. more info... |
